DESCRIPTION INSTALLATION SPECS   The Harmony Wood Collection is a real wood tile delivered as a mesh mounted product. Because this product is made of real wood there are special considerations to follow during the installation process. There is an acclimation process to follow where the wood should sit inside of the home or location where it is to be installed in order to acclimate to this environment for 4 - 5 days before the material is installed. To install the Harmony Wood material, we strongly recommend that a waterproofing and anti-fracture membrane be used to prep any surface. Then to install the material, we also strongly recommend that Epoxy Thinset and Epoxy grout is used to complete the installation process. Why? Because this product is made from real wood it can not come in contact with moisture or warping and/or cracking will occur. To prevent this, the special thinset and grout we recommend is not mixed with water so no moisture is present during the installation process. We recommend Laticrete installation products, specifically Latipoxy 300 Thinset Adhesive and Spectralock Pro Grout. Cleaning this product is similar to cleaning any hardwood flooring product in that dry mopping or wiping with a dry cloth works perfectly. This product is for interior locations only and should not be installed in showers, pools, spas or any location where moisture is often present.
